To My Dear Patients:

I will be closing my practice as of April 1, 2012. I will be taking my career in a new direction by starting a fellowship in Hospice Care and Palliative Medicine in July of 2012. This is something that I've always dreamed of doing, and now is the right time for me and for my family.

I am sure that this will come as a surprise to many of you, as you know how much I love the field of Wellness and Integrative Medicine. My hope is that I can truly blend my Integrative Medicine experience with Hospice/Palliative Medicine, as there is a great need for nurturing, holistic care at the end of life.

It has been a great honor to serve all of you over the years. Some of you have been with me for nearly 10 years, and we have developed trusted friendships. You have watched me grow my practice in all sorts of ways, and have showered me with loving kindness, especially around the birth of my son 3 years ago. Others of you are new to me, but no less special.

I want to assure all of you - especially those patients who are new to my practice - that I have taken extra care to choose an experienced doctor who can appropriately carry on your treatment program. Please see the NEW DOCTOR REFERRAL page of this website for more information about Dr. Janel Meric, the medical doctor to whom I will be referring all of my patients. Dr. Meric is both a trusted colleague of mine, and a friend. We have worked together in the past, and she cared for many of my patients in my office while I was on maternity leave. She is very familiar with my medical treatment protocols and is an expert herself in Integrative Medicine and Bio-Identical Hormone Replacement Therapy for women and men. Our philosophies about holistic, patient-centered care are in complete alignment. Dr. Meric is both a skilled clinician and a compassionate healer. You will be in good hands.

Furthermore, Dr. Meric's office is currently located within the Center for New Medicine, in Irvine. Her office accepts many insurance plans and also offers multiple complementary therapies that can enhance any treatment plan. I hope that you will choose to follow up with her.
